Committing THE SECOND SIN @ TSS in Delhi

The Second Sin by Manré is the new avatar of Manré Restaurant in the MGF Mall, Saket. On 1st April 2011, in its first official unveiling, the restaurant opened its doors to a select gathering of eminent guests in a musical evening featuring Karen Kohler from New York, presenting a Jazz and European Cabaret performance.

Laurent Guiraud, the General Manager, when asked to comment on the launch party said, " It was such a magical moment to see our beautiful venue alive again! Senior Executive Chef Krishan Pal, the team and myself are now eager to put to use the long months of refurbishing, training and menu engineering toward our only goal: our guests' satisfaction. We are dedicated to source the best quality ingredients that compose our menus and train our team members to the highest standards of our industry so that our guest experience is unique and overwhelming. We are looking forward to welcoming you soon at The Second Sin By Manré."

Hirsch and Bedner Associates (HBA), [http://www.hbadesign.com/] the award winning international interior design firm, has worked brilliantly to transform the old Manrè into a vibrant and welcoming dining destination with its four different dining zones.

The Terrace Grill at The Second Sin (TSS) by Manrè is an open air dining venue that is just perfect for dining outside in the pleasant spring and winter months of Delhi. The Terrace Grill features an innovative menu where guests only have to choose the main course, whilst the soup and salad buffet is offered complimentary along with the dessert. Guests love the fact that they do not have to wait for food to arrive, especially when they come in hungry.

The Lounge and Bar at TSS distinguishes itself in terms of its design – open and relaxed lounge space done in light shades with beautiful ambient lighting that gives the place a feeling of joy and happiness. Not the low lighting levels of an Irish Pub or the serious dark wood paneling of a traditional bar for this place, no Sir – this is a place for fun, enjoyment and celebrations.

The Bistro at TSS is a delight for food lovers whether they are seeking a “gourmet experience” or one of pure gluttony.

What is a BISTRO?
“Bistro” is derived from Russian and literally means “quickly”.
Hence, it refers to a small restaurant part of a modest setting, serving moderately priced simple meals that are quick to place on the table.

And that brings us to the fourth and the final dining zone, The Kebab Terrace. Situated on the North-Eastern terrace, The Kebab Terrace, in addition to the pleasure of open air dining, offers three air conditioned tents just perfect for private dining. Offering a selection of Kebabs, curries and Indian delicacies, this is a glutton’s paradise.

It is important to pause here to answer an important question – how did this place come to be called: The Second Sin?
You see, the chefs at The Second Sin are very very serious about food. It is not just their profession; it is their passion and their obsession! Their greatest delight is observing the joy on the faces of their guests when they bite into the food from the kitchens of The Second Sin.
How could you not forgive these innocent souls from thinking that such an obsession with food – gluttony, is a noble pursuit?
And so with “Gluttony” as the inspiration, its mention in the Old Testament as the second of the seven cardinal sins led to the name: THE SECOND SIN.
